After months of location searching and grant seeking, Little Lyons Childcare is making great strides to providing affordable and accessible childcare to the Lyon County community.

The Emporia Area Chamber of Commerce and Ignite Emporia closed on the former Maynard School building on Friday, Dec. 15 after a lengthy grant-seeking process. Ignite Emporia Director Michelle Margeson announced in a newsletter Tuesday that Ignite Emporia is now in the process of creating the Little Lyons LLC board of directors, searching for a building director and preparing to renovate.
